I'm also having this issue.

Currently in Liverpool, taking a load to Longyearbyen - as soon as the trailer is loaded, any attempt to press ESC causes the game to crash. As long as ESC is not pressed, you can drive, view the map, etc, but as soon as you press ESC, it crashes.
