Is this a map area touched by Project Balkans? Does ATS map require as much rebuilding as old ETS2 parts though? Or would it be only adding more minor stuff rather than replacing the entire thing?

While that makes more sense from the logical standpoint, it also means any PM work will be quickly deprecated by SCS states :(

IMO the best way ProMods for ATS could be executed is by starting from the most distant states (northern or eastern) and get away by a ferry-like teleport between two remove playable areas. While this might sound awkward, it'd probably be the most efficient way of expanding the map since it's probab...

As much as I'd love that myself too, don't you think the map is a bit too big for the MP? Even with vanilla EU map with DLCs you don't get to see other people too often even with 2000+ players online (not counting bigger cities of course). With ProMods map, you'd probably need at least 5000-6000 peo...
