Oh really? I guess you need to get your facts straight. Even out of all old cars here in Baltic States, ppl mainly drive old German imports (Audi 80, VW Passat B3, Golf 2 and 3, etc.) and these countries were in USSR, while your Romania, Poland, Czech rep. and so on weren't. In Lithuania you could spot Ladas or AZLKs once in 2-3 months in average. Well, chances are higher in November 1st .Michael Rosen wrote:Ladas are very poppular in the former communist block and outside itpauliaxz wrote:And I thought Ladas only ride in Russia, BY and UA.
What poor Poles drive? - Polonez, what poor Romanians drive? - old Dacias, what poor Czechs drive? - old Škodas.
Ladas and other Russian-made cars are popular in RU, BY and UA.
And lastly, you should have taken my sentence with a grain of salt, was a little bit of a joke.
Eh, those Czechs... they will drive an old Felicia all the time, because they would rather go on a nice holiday in summer and winter. Us Slovaks, we are different, we wouldn't even eat just to have a car that's 2 classes higher than we can afford.
It doesn't mean that they're poor.
It doesn't mean that they're poor.

Well Ladas got replaced by Audis and VWs, Renoes, FIATs and Fords in the recent times, But in their time it replaced the FIAT 124
As you said: "got replaced" which is completely different than "Ladas are very popular in eastern bloc and outside it" as you said before. Here those were massively replaced by Western cars in early 90s, not long after USSR collapse.Michael Rosen wrote:Well Ladas got replaced by Audis and VWs, Renoes, FIATs and Fords in the recent times, But in their time it replaced the FIAT 124
Nobody wanted to drive that shit and doesn't want still, they had no other choice before 90s. People said they were forced to carry almost full trunk of spare parts when on journey. Almost every typical man who owned a Soviet car became self-taught mechanic.
Anyway, end to this off-topic, I won't post about it more. Continue to funny pictures.
P.S if you want to add something or reply, do that in PM or Car discussions.
