Hi Guys,

I don't know if any of you out there can help; I'm trying without success to get BBC (UK) Radio stations to play on ETS2.
I've gone through all of the known published links that I've been able to find, but none of them seem to work. :(
I did read somewhere that the BBC had changed all their Radio Station URLs or the way they are streamed or something. :?
I don't know if any of the ProMods community can help this here UK Trucker at all, or if any of you can post a list of URLs for BBC Radio Stations that actually DO work on ETS2 V1.18.1; I'd love to be able to play some 'local' radio while out driving!

Here's hoping!

Keep those Wheels Turning! :)

What a FANTASTIC JOB you've done on the recent expansions! BRILLIANT STUFF!

Try this mod. This comes with many UK radio stations, and I've picked out the ones from the BBC. Add them like this to your live_streams.sii file:

Code: Select all

 stream_data[214]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio1_mf_p|BBC Radio 1 - GB|Variety|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[215]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio2_mf_p|BBC Radio 2 - GB|Variety|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[216]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio3_mf_p|BBC Radio 3 - GB|Classical|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[217]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio4fm_mf_p|BBC Radio 4 - GB|News/Talk|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[218]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio5live_mf_p|BBC Radio 5 Live - GB|News/Sports|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[219]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_6music_mf_p|BBC Radio 6 Music - GB|Rock/Alternative/Variety|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[220]: "http://bbcwssc.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcwssc_mp1_ws-eieuk|BBC World Service - GB|News|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[221]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio4extra_mf_p|BBC Radio 4 Extra - GB|Radio Drama/Comedy/Variety|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[222]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio1xtra_mf_p|BBC Radio 1Xtra - GB|Hip Hop/R&B|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[223]: "http://bbcwssc.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcwssc_mp1_ws-einws|BBC World Service English News - GB|News|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[224]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_lrldn_mf_p|BBC London - GB|News|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[225]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio5extra_mf_p|BBC R5 Live Sport Extra - GB|Sports|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[226]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_asianet_mf_p|BBC Asian Network - GB|World Asia/News|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[227]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_radio4lw_mf_p|BBC Radio 4 [LW] - GB|News Talk|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[228]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_scotlandfm_mf_p|BBC Radio Scotland 95 FM - GB|News|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[229]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_lrcorn_mf_p|BBC Radio Cornwall - GB|Variety|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[230]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_lrnorfolk_mf_p|BBC Radio Norfolk - GB|Variety|English|0|MP3 128K"
 stream_data[231]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbcmedia_ulster_mf_p|BBC Radio Ulster - GB|News|English|0|MP3 128K"
Don't forget that the number next to the "stream_data" must follow with the previous entry. If you've added radio stations already, you'll need to change these numbers. Hope it works!

Hi UK DAF FAN,

Mate, I think that I can help you out now!

I posted the same question on the SCS Forum and received a very helpful reply from Flemming V., who I believe is the creator of the BDS Tandem Trucks available for ETS2.

I'm sure he won't mind me passing on these BBC Radio URLs to you; I have just tried them all and they do work! HOORAY!

Here goes:

stream_data[213]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... 1_mf_p|BBC Radio 1|Top 40|UK|128|0"
stream_data[214]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... 2_mf_p|BBC Radio 2|Adult|UK|128|0"
stream_data[215]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... 3_mf_p|BBC Radio 3|Classical|UK|128|0"
stream_data[216]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... m_mf_p|BBC Radio 4|News|UK|128|0"
stream_data[217]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... e_mf_p|BBC Radio 5 Live|News|UK|128|0"
stream_data[218]: "http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... c_mf_p|BBC Radio 6 Music|Adult|UK|128|0"

Make sure that you put them in your file ABOVE the last { on the live_streams SII list. Otherwise, for some reason, as I found out! They won't save in the file or appear in the radio listings in the game!

Keep on Trucking Mate and Happy listening too!

I've also tried a couple of the URLs posted in tkk7406s list; they seem to work too!

Truck-on! ;)

"Some reason" is simple, the list must be inside the container. The final } (curly brace) marks the end of the container.

Not putting stuff inside the { xxx } container is like trying to pour coffee into a cup with a lid on it...

Thanks, I started to write it as "Trying to pee with the toilet lid down," but thought that might be too risqué...

Hi
I had a bit of the same trouble with the radio I'm not too fond of non English speaking stations and was sent this mod that changes the SII files so that it's all UK stations which looks similar to the one posted by tkk this also has a station called Radio Gold that has all the golden oldies .
I am sorry have no idea how to "take " a snapshot of this .
@ Moose what part of Devon are you from I'm originally from Totnes
