So this occupies my mind now for hours allready...

I'm not a programmer or somthing like that, but a hardware technician. So i like to polemize about things i see happening.

This is my todays issue.

Discussed here http://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=4201 and here http://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=4418 , it seem to be possible, that a invissible wall or something is being created by a mod, that only delivers moving objects, like trucks and cargos.

That is, what i can't figure out. Can someone, please, explain to me in a easy way, how is that possible? Two different players have the same problem on exact the same place. A invissible something, that stops them. So, that looks like a fastened object anchored on the map, and that have to be caused by a mod, that only works with moving objects, that are independent of the map. How? Tell me, i love to learn something new...

Thanks,

Mischa

Each model has a collision object, it is a virtual "rectangle" that indicates whether the player vehicle can or can not drive through it.
Of course with a sign the collision model is small, with a building it is large.

The problem is that some mods have replaced railings or street lights.
If they are loaded after ProMods they overrule our railing or light models, and thereby the collision model of that file will be of the other mod, not ours.

The result is that in places where we used the railings in creative ways, the conflicting mod will re-enable the collision that we removed hereby adding an invisible wall.

Thanks, but still, why a mod, that only contains vehicles would change this on a map? Because that conclusions about Jazzycats work as possible problem. As i read your answer, i will rather suspect RusMap, just because that one works with the same kind of objects...

Rusmap contains some re-edited models that can do this, but also a few other light mods such as TrueLights replace the street light models with original ones (not ours) and therefore create invisible walls.

The Jazzycat trailer mod has a problem with a huge collision on a trailer, it is much higher than the physical dimensions of the trailer therefore gets stuck in the tunnel.
