Dunno, my HD 7970 runs the game just fine 1980x1080, 200% scaling (close to 4k)....
If you're looking into 400% scaling go for Radeon 295x2, Titan or similar
Multiple screens? That calls for multiple graphics cards

There's honestly not much difference between 300% and 400% scaling assuming you're on a 1080p, you'll do fine with a GTX970.

Does running a game across two monitors need twice the graphical power? Would ETS2 run reasonably well with one 970?

I've read SCS's 4 display show booth requires a monster setup, I'd assume a Titan runs dual screen just fine
Ask on the SCS forums about requirements for multiple screen setup if you don't get answers here

Hmm as far as I can find you should be able to run multiple screen on the 970
It all depends on your graphics settings though, 2k resolution and 400% scaling is tough on even high-end cards

[EDIT] Some info about dual setup in this thread on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/app/227300/di ... rwegian#p2

I've read threads about dual monitor setup before while researching if it's even possible... seems like the same thing never works for two different people. Anyway, that's not a matter for this thread and I don't actually have my second monitor yet.

Which one is better: GTX 970 or GTX 690?

GTX 970

BTW, I have i5, 8 GB RAM and GTX 770 which allow me to play on ultra settings with ProMods and Poland Rebuilding.
always 80 FPS.

@Herdox: What i5 and GTX770 is it, what resolution do you use and are you running the game on 400% scaling? I doubt that.

I've been running a 970 with a 4690k both oc at ultra at 1080p 200% scaling with no problem apart from the same dips people get in certain places. I might try upping it to 300% after hearing other people in this thread.

Although another cheaper option if you have a beefy enough psu is find a 290 or 290x, I ran one for a while and performance seemed just as good as the 970 at the same settings. However i'd advise not to get a reference blower style one, go for one with a decent cooler like msi.

A GTX 970 should do it just fine, but if your budget allows for it, the 980 Ti is also a great card with a good price per performance (I would recommend the Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming in that case).

EDIT: I would also recommend not getting a 980, it's a great card but the price per performance is not as good as the 980 Ti or 970.

Well if you want only to change graphic card a 970 GTX or 980 Ti it's fine.
But i think that if you have the budget you can change all with an intel i7 6000series with a good motherboard like asus or msi. If you do so i think you can have also a 960 GTX or even a 970 GTX or 980Ti if you can.
Suggestion; it's only for doing to you an idea.
960 GTX

or even this evga

970 GTX

980 Ti

980 Ti Hybrid cooled :D

Motherboard Skylake

Processor Skylake

Finally ram i think ddr3 it's fine if you don't want to spend much. If not choose ddr4
ddr3

ddr4

Edit: if you have a budget of 1500€ i think you can have all of the above, with a very great pc ;)
Hope this helps! ;)
