@jazzytimy
You should try to learn the use of the map editor yourself. It isn't really that hard and there are plenty of tutorials available around the web. Try making something and open a thread for your project in the Academy section of these forums so that the developers can see what you are able to do. ;)

If I learn how to model, I can develop the Canadian Maritimes (e.g. Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Northern Québec/ Gaspé Peninsula), as I live in the area. I have watched some videos on the subject and am now practicing my skills.

The DLC Scandinavia assets from ETS2 would work great in the maritime provinces

Yes, but custom assets which I am working on currently would fit better. Besides, everybody still needs to wait until the ATS map is rescaled before PMATS can begin.

There's a Show your work section, you can post screenshots of your work there and if it's good enough, you have a chance to be chosen.

I would assume that this is in the NYC area. Without some sort of universal agreement on what the scale of Promods will be, you will have a very difficult time trying to include everything. Manhattan is hopelessly complex as is the rest of the surrounding boroughs of NYC. Best of luck my friend, you're going to need it.

Edit instead of double posting:

For the people here who want to help, but likely live in an area that is very far away from the currently mapped areas (I for example, live in the state of vermont), I recommend you do what I'm doing: do a little work in ETS2, learn the basics (maybe make a fantasy map and mess with the editor?) and then apply what you've learned in ATS so that by the time the map reaches your home state, you can use your skills effectively to make it a bit more realistic ;)
I was thinking more upstate. (Albany, Plattsburgh, White Plains, etc.) The NYC area will be a challenge, but that's not what I want to focus on for now, anyways. What we could do is have every borough be treated a separate city, as SCS did in ETS2 with the cities in the Rhine-Ruhr area. But as for now, let's focus on the west.

Being willing to do it is not enough, you have to impress the developers first. ;)
