For me the problem is the same, to Barcelona, my computer AMD FX 8150 Eight Core 3,6Ghz, 12GB ram, Gainward GeForce GTX 780 Phantom 3Gb 384Bit, Windows 7 64bit. Your work is fantastic, Barcelona is very nice.
Thanks !!

Hi. I'm new here and i wanted to tell you guys that you did a great job with the map but in spain the fps drop is huge.. with original map , i have 80+ fps on ultra , with the promods map i have 60 outside the city's and 35-45 in the city's but in spain (ex barcelona) in the middle of the city i have 15 fps.

i have radeon r9 280x , i5 4460 , 4gb ram , ssd and all other stuff but in the end i will still drive in spain even with that shitty fps

i can't wait for the rest of the spain & portugal. i'm just wondering what fps i will have in Madrid if i have 15 in barcelona :D :D

also i hope you can add this kind of things in Spain but also in France and the rest of the country's and it will be awesome. http://imgur.com/a/sWgAT

Once again , good job.

These things are actually on Spain. Madrid? Different mapper (me) so different style. Also, the structure is different. Anyway, wait and see :P

I do want to know like what exactly causes FPS drops in Barcelona. Is it just the sheer number of objects? I just drove to Murmansk and Nothern Norway and I was getting 75 fps with everything maxed out.

It was not designed correctly so it's hard to optimize. It looks great but it's hard to place cut-planes and not many things can be reduced there. It's too good for this game ;)

We suspect it's not the sheer number of objects, but rather the sheer number of different model textures. This is something that is really hard to solve without rebuilding a lot. And we already did tone down the city quite a lot to get the FPS to 40 in the majority of the city (it used to be 15-20 everywhere).

Maybe combining models and textures into huge blocks might help, textures will be bigger, but in way smaller numbers. A village as a single object with single texture with alpha channels? It might work.

I noticed that Girona is a scenery village on the map I was wondering why we can't drive in it. There are connections to the AP-7 and the N-11 to Girona and the scenery seems like enough for a couple of roads and a couple of companies. Is there a specific reason why Girona is not marked on the map and why we can't drive in it?

I didn't want the map to be too cramped and also so there isn't a high amount of cities concentrated in one area.

I suspect that Tarragona will be a scenery city if its built aswell as its fairly close to Barcelona.
