Development on version 1.x (Finland - Project Napapiiri)

I tried to make map plan for Finland, Sweden,Estonia,Russia and little bit of Norway. :http://imgur.com/YQ7iOOW

The plan looks great! It covers a very good amount of Finland and I like how it makes it possible to go around the Gulf of Finland and connect to Trondheim, Norway. And it's not too cluttered either... has an appropriate amount of cities. Doesn't need any more than what you've put in the plan.

Yes you are correct it is a nice nickname and i think a good new nickname for me can be Mr.Vantaa

Here some update about FInland.
Plan from 'Mr Tornio' is nearly exact for Finland. There will be also additional roads.
For other countries, there are some ideas that could be done, by example swedish coast.
I don't think about to do so many cities between Oulu and Vaasa, but Kokkola should be there.
Otherwise, Kuopio and Kajaani are scheduled, but not in first release.
For Turku, the city was updatd but the map remains nearly the same.

That city centre looks fantastic! Honestly, I have never seen better in ETS. Combined with the wide sidewalk, the cobblestone road makes it look a like a real city centre. Hope we will see more of this in other cities! For instance Karl Johan in Oslo and Strøget in Copenhagen.

Cities have always been the most boring parts of the original SCS map in my opinion, but if more of them get this kind of look, that would off course change.

Edit: Btw, I read in another topic that it is possible adding sounds to the map. What about adding sounds of nightclubs in the night, and people talking and doing other stuff daytime? That would drastically improve city life atmosphere

You can't change sounds between day & night but you can add city sounds. I've been thinking to add some distinctive sounds such as police sirens etc
